Rembrandt van Rijn 'Jan Six' 1647, B285 RARE AMAND-DURAND SIGNED PRINTING I CANNOT SEE ANOTHER DURAND SIGNED COPY - WORLDWIDE! This antique etching was created by Amand Durand in 1880, on the reverse it has his vintage red stamp which gives the etching it's authenticity. ... All of the hand-printed prints by Amand Durand during the period 1865- 1888, have on their back Durand's stamp in red, which is designated in the Lugt Stamps Catalogue as LUGT 2934. The red stamp is NOT on the AMAND DURAND re-strikes, which are still being printed TODAY! Printed by Durand on antique laid paper with vertical chain lines and a partial fleur-de-lys watermark and as usual, a small margin and the vital red stamp on the reverse.
