Original Description:
You will be purchasing the iconic "CRANE  and CLAM NO. 150"  identified as the first toy produced and manufactured by Mound Metalcraft, Inc in 1947 in Mound, Minnesota. The 3 founding war buddys, Baker, Crounse and Tesch, later changed the name to TONKA TOYS,  after the Dakota Sioux word "Tanka"   meaning big.  The item is believed to be all original, with the exception of the cables (not certain about the cables), with the clicking sound for lowering the ...crane still intact.  It appears to have been enjoyed and played with by past appreciative owners, as evidenced by the paint chips, some bits of rust, and occasional scrapes. Could benefit from a good metal waxing and buff out, or could be fully restored to its original luster.   Please contact me for any questions. Thank you.
