Super nice Mens Omega in Mint Vintage conditionThis vintage men’s Omegatimepiece, a Constellation Chronometer model... that dates to circa 1970s and isin excellent, original condition. It features an amazing gold and dark browndial and day-date display.This was one of the first electronic models introduced by Omega, using a highly accurate tuning fork technology licensed from the Bulova WatchCompany. Being chronometer status makes it very accurate and having a ESA 9164caliber mechanism (Omega 1260 caliber) means the seconds hand “sweeps” inrotation, not the tick, tick of a quartz watch. It's 14kt Yellow Gold electroplated case (to thick 80 microns) measures alarger 43.5mm end to end and 37.5mm in width (40mm with original gold Omegacrown). In inches this works out to be 1-3/4” long by 1-1/2” wide, notincluding the setting crown. It is powered by its original 1260 grade Omega (ESA9164) 12 jewel Swiss mechanism that has been fully serviced, new power cell, ensuring it setssmoothly and keeps very accurate time.The textured gold and dark brown dial is100% original and inflawless shape – one of the nicest Retro Modern dials we have come across inseveral years. Other features include raised gold and black hour markers, adouble day date calendar at the 3 position, original tritium (glow) hands andoriginal ‘sweep’ gold center seconds hand. Signed Constellation Chronometerbelow the 12 marker with trademark Omega symbol and Omega Electronic f 300 Hzabove the 6 marker.The crystal is in excellent condition. The two-piece case iscomprised of a 14kt Yellow Gold Electroplated body with stainless steel, screwdown back. It is 80 microns thickness, about TEN times the gold thickness oftoday’s gold electroplated watches and equal to a vintage 14kt Yellow Goldfilled case, also 80 microns (rolled gold cases were 40 microns). Bezel andbody are excellent. The watch is fittedwith a new leather brown strap. Watch only, no box or papers.Watch Mint working order and overall Mint condition.
