Outstanding 1973 etching, "The Dotage of St. George, " by listed San Francisco artist Stan Washburn (b. 1943). Washburn studied at the California College of Arts & Crafts. Washburn has exhibited nationwide, including exhibitions at the Frye Museum of Art, Charles Campbell Gallery in San Francisco, the Achenbach Foundation, Pucker/Safrai Gallery in Boston, and many others. He has illustrated numerous books and his work is in numerous collections worldwide.
This print is signed an...d dated lower right, titled lower center, and numbered 48/50 lower left. It measures 11.75" x 13.75" (image size) and is in good condition. A gallery label from Pucker/Safrai Gallery is attached to frame backing. In an older frame (nicks and scratches).
