This is an original limited edition lithograph by Willem de Kooning; one of 17 published by The Limited Editions Club in 1988 to accompany a collection of Frank O'Hara's poems. De Kooning's charcoal drawings were printed as lithographs at Trestle Editions on a Japanese Kitakata paper. The prints were then hand-torn and applied chine cole with intaglio presses to sheets of Magnani paper at Wingate Studio and Renaissance Press. It is from number 435 of a total of 550 ...presentations. It is signed (in facsimile) and numbered on the colophon only (a copy of which will be included). There is a very small amount of text on the reverse. The overall size is 17.25 x 21.75 inches with an image size of 11 x 14 inches. This is a dramatic and unusual piece by this midcentury master. You can bid with confidence because items can be returned within seven days if they are not as represented as long as the return is in the same conditioned as shipped. We will of course combine shipping for multiple purchases in most cases. Your print is sold unframed and will ship flat, positioned with acid-free corner mounts on museum board, in a clear, protective sleeve. Rigid cardboard will provide the outer protection.
