Absolutely gorgeous, from the grand gilded age of Boston mansions. These are three classic Case “Kidney” toilets, so named forthe graceful and distinctive shape of the tank cover (also called “KidneyBean”toilet) with the front “Whale Tail” lever. They are considered among themost graceful and classic toilets ever made. Even the Whale Tail levers, by themselves, sell for high-endrestorations. Available for local Bostonpickup, or I will ship them.The three toilets ...were installed in approx. 1931 in one ofBoston’s grand homes, built in 1904. Onelid shows a manufacturing date of July 14, 1931, one Oct. 19, 1930 as shown in photos, and one says July 1(with no year shown). The originalmanufacturer’s mark of T/N is visible inside all three tank lids. They weremade by the W.A. Case and Son Manufacturing Company in Robinson, Illinois.All three toilets work and are in excellent shape. Two are cosmetically excellent, one has somecrazing lines along each side, as shown in the close-up photo. The ball and flushing parts, including therubber ball and the flappers, are 10 to 20 years old in most of them, they workOK but are sold “as is.” All three toilets work fine, were removed as part of an April 2019 renovation. Two tank lids arein excellent shape, one was broken in half and epoxied, as shown in photo. All three have their original “Whale Tail” flush leverattached to the original copper flush lever arm, as shown in photos. All three have the original arched coppervalve arm, as shown. Only one has theoriginal copper top brace bisecting the top of the tank, as shown. The original seats are long gone, and theseats shown are modern, inexpensive plastic seats. I will NOT include the seats. A conventional round (not elongated) seat fitsjust fine. They can be used with a highwall-mounted tank (not included) or a conventional flush valve assembly. The tank fill opening fits a standard7/8” ballcock valve. Rough-in dimension is12".Local pick up in the Boston area (we are within half-a-mileof Fenway Park). Each toilet weighs 70lbs, and is 21.5" wide, 25.5" long and 20.5" high. Or, if you asthe buyer find a Boston-area freight company that can handle them, I willdeliver them as-is to any shipper you choose within 20 miles of Fenway Park, and that shipper can crate and ship to you the buyer, with the buyer to choosethe shipper, and the buyer then paying crating and shipping costs.
