Item Description and Bidding/ Shipping Cost and Policy/ Payment Instructions: One (1) Matchbox Lesney Allis-Chalmers'260' Earth Scraper or Mover, orange body, dark red motor casting; 24 x 18 angled tread tyres on unpainted 12 mm metal wheels; decal on scraper arm side (one side missing) . This model is in near mint condition but would be VNM but for the missing decal. It was introduced in 1961 and was sold thi...s type and a red plastic wheels variation (Mack). It is approximately 14.5 cm in overall length. Please carefully examine the high definition photos for the essentially flawless original paintwork detail. The tyres show no indications of use. The scraper works perfectly and both springs are present and in as new condition There are no casting or mechanical defects. "The Lesney Matchbox King-Size K-6 Allis Chalmers Earth Scraper joined the range in 1961, It was always painted orange but shades can vary. The engine was painted red and the grille and headlights were trimmed with silver, The wheel hubs were unpainted metal to begin with but later issues had red plastic hubs, All were fitted with black plastic tractor type tyres, The arms that connect the hopper displayed decals with '260' in a circle in white and 'Allis Chalmers' in black, To add realism the hopper was hinged so that the scraper could 'open' and reach the ground and small springs mounted either side of the hopper would close it which was a clever but simple piece of engineering but how we go about emptying the hopper was another matter. The Earthscraper was packaged in C, D and E type boxes, It was replaced by the Mercedes Ambulance in 1967." I make the complimentary box which will be sent with the model. They are constructed of correct weight tag board. They are laser printed so they will be somewhat glossier than an original Lesney era box, which was printed with lithography. This box is intended for display and storage purposes with a genuine Lesney Products model only.

2. Grading:VNM = Very Near Mint. The paintwork is, for all practical purposes, close to new. Original factory flaws will be noted in the listing if they exist. All original accessories are present.
NM = Near Mint. Restoration unnecessary. The paintwork is nearly perfect, clean, shiny and bright on all exterior surfaces (except for possibly the base, if painted). Original, virgin paintwork approaches 100% with the possible exception of any factory paint flaws or very minor storage (not impact) wear. Negligible rolling use of the wheels may be present. The model is mechanically perfect. All original appliques and accessories are present.
EXC = Excellent. Minor paintwork and/or applique imperfections may exist, usually due to improper storage, not play, and will be evident in the photos. Paintwork imperfections may have been restored. Decals or other appliques may have been replaced with replicas. For this grade, no mechanical problems exist, including windows, if applicable, and no such repairs have ever been performed, in our opinion. Minor wheel use may be evident. All original accessories are usually present for this grade. If not, what is missing or replaced with replica parts will be disclosed. 3.
