VINTAGE 8 DAY METAMEC BRACKET CLOCK. FHS BIM BAM STRIKE MOVEMENT. Ca 1980's

The clock is fitted with the FHS (Hermle) 130-020 8 day 2 train going barrel movement with floating balance. Strike is of the bim bam type with 3 hammers striking on three tuned ...rods mounted in a cast block. Single bim bam on the ½ hour and full to the hours indicated on the dial. Movement carries the FHS trademark and a year date of 81. Key wind from the front and correct size key is supplied. In good working order.Metamec was formed in the early 1940's in Dereham, Norfolk and all clocks were of good quality and finish and during that period in the 60's and 70's were the largest UK clock manufacturer. Dimensions : Height: 28cm's (11 inches). Width: 23 cm's (9 inches).
