“Ring-Necked or Bengal Parrakeet”, 18846.50”x9.75”Original antique bird print from William Thomas Greene's classic three-volume "Parrots in Captivity", published by George Bell, London, 1882-87. The chromolithographs are among the finest of all the illustrations of parrots from this period. The plates were printed by Benjamin Fawcett, who was one of the best color printers of the Nineteenth Century, after drawings by A.F. Lydon.
