The movie was released in 1975 but the movie was filmed and this mug was made in 1974. "Brannigan" is the fourth mug that was made by Ketchum Originals for the Duke. It was located at 1105 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, Calif. The Duke wasfamous for giving cast and crew mugs as a personal thanks for their time andeffort in his films. He started doing that in the early 50's.

Brannigan is a 1975 British action thriller film directed by Douglas Hickox[1] and starring John Wayne and Richard Attenborough filmed in Panavision and DeLuxe Color. One of the screenwriters was Dalton Trumbo's son, Christopher Trumbo.
Set principally in London, the film is about a Chicago detective sent to Britain to organise the extradition of an American mobster, who is soon kidnapped and held for ransom. Struggling with the restrained policing style of his British counterparts, the tough Irish-American detective uses his own brand of law enforcement to recapture the criminal.
