This mid 1900s stage prop is about 20” wide and 53” high including the handle. The sun and moon alone is 21” high x 20” wide overall. The image shows the moon on one side and the sun on the opposite side. It was held high with the handle and carried across the stage. The sun/moon was hand-painted on early Masonite. Mass production of Masonite started around 1929 and was widely used into the 1950s. It is in good used condition with chips and wear on the edges, small cracks, scuf...fs, stains, and marks. There is a twist or warp of about 1” in the sun/moon shape from age. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description.I guarantee it to be old and as described. Please note this item will be shipped with the handle removed to avoid oversize shipping fees. The handle can be reassembled with 2 screws (included).
