Rolling Stones ORIGINAL 1966 Concert Poster Buffalo NY 14x22 VERY RARE!!! Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail.
This Original poster is from the very first concert that I went to, in June 1966 at the Buffalo War Memorial Auditorium. It was sponsored by WKBW radio and emceed by their radio hosts Danny Nevereth an...d Joey Reynolds (who had a local hit record called "Rats in My Room" around that time). Also on the bill were The McCoys ("Hang On Sloopy") and The Standells ("Dirty Water"), both becoming "famous" with their current hits.
The poster itself measures 14x22. It's not in bad shape for being over 53 years old, but does have some blemishes (see photos). The overall poster has yellowed somewhat, the colors have faded a little, and it's not perfectly flat, but it's always been kept in a smoke-free, controlled environment, mounted on my wall (not stored). If I had been older and known better, it would have been mounted in a frame with glass. As it is, it's got "character".
The top edge has a couple of faint scotch tape outlines, a couple of small holes from nail brads, and a little bit of wear,
The right edge has a couple of small tears (near the center) and there's some wrinkling/bending in the lower right corner.
The bottom edge has 1 scotch tape mark, 3 small nail brad holes, and a little bit of delamination.
The left edge has some discoloration and some wrinkling/delamination along the edge.
I try to grade conservatively, but make sure to review the photos to see whether the blemishes are acceptable or not.
Please note that I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS, so any questions should be asked AND answered BEFORE you place your bid. I reserve the right to cancel a winning bid if the winner has not followed these groundrules (i.e., NO post-win questions).

On Oct-13-19 at 10:43:59 PDT, seller added the following information:Yes, the poster was acquired in 1966. My sister (18 at the time) knew someone at WKBW & it was given to her near the time of the concert in 1966. I got it after she got married/moved away in 1967. We both went to this concert at the Buffalo War Memorial, but the program & ticket stub were also hers. The back of the poster mirrors the blemishes on the front of the poster & there is tape residue on the top center and right corner & the bottom center. The color of the backing cardboard is standard non-white "shirt cardboard" color. There is no writing on it.
I've attached two additional photos, one of the back of the poster, and one of the lower front of the poster which mirrors the wrinkle seen on the back of the poster, but to a much lesser extent. I did not catch that wrinkle in the original description because it was not obvious to me due to the other noted blemishes, but I took a closer look when I saw the wrinkle on the back of the poster. I apologize for the oversight.
I hope this information and additional photos are helpful.redmelvin27:
Hi, I'm very interested in your Stones poster. Even though you describe it as original, I just want to be absolutely sure of its authenticity. Did you acquire the poster back in 1966? I see your other auction for the ticket stub to this concert so suspect you got the poster at the same time you went to the concert, but just want to be sure, so a history on this poster would be very helpful. Also, does the BACK of the poster have any issues or anything written on it and what color is the back of the poster?
