For your consideration is a beautiful antique QUEZAL ArtGlass Footed Vase, circa 1902-1924.The QUEZAL Art Glass & Decorating Company(1902-1924) was founded by Martin Bach and Thomas Johnson who were both formalemployees of Tiffany. Martin Bach Sr. (1862-1921) emigrated from France wherehe had worked at the Saint-Louis Glass Co. Following his arrival to the US, heworked for Louis Comfort Tiffany as a chemist at the newly formed Tiffany Gla...ss& Decorating Company in Corona, Queens. After almost 10 years, Bach leftTiffany to establish his own company (which actually infuriated LouisTiffany). While in business, Quezal’s Art Nouveau style glass is verycomparable in quality and beauty to all similar well-known glass makers of theperiod with examples being found in most if not all prominent museums. The vase is a vibrant gold color with a wonderful iridescent glow. It is properly signed QUEZAL on bottom of foot.It measures approx. 8” tall by 4” at widest and is in Excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks orrepairs and very lite wear with one tiny manufacturing related dimple on side.A nice piece of early Quezal Art Glass!- - - - - - - - -We at the Antique Cabinet strive for 5 stars and want you to bedelighted with your purchase.
