This is a rare May 13th, 1912 program (playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the GEORGE M. COHAN musical play "FORTY-FIVE MINUTES FROM BROADWAY" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The Original Broadway production opened January 1st, 1906 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City and ran for 90 performances. This revival opened March 14th, 1912 at George M. Cohan's Theatre in New York City and ran for 36 performances before going on the road.)... ..... The play starred the legendary GEORGE M. COHAN and SALLIE FISHER and featured LOUISE AICHEL, LORENA ATWOOD, ADA GILMAN, LAWRENCE WHEAT, ELMER BOOTH, GEORGE PARSONS, EDGAR HALSTEAD, JOHN KLENDON, WILLIAM FORD, JAMES DENTON, HAWLEY BROOKS, ELSIE ARTZ, MARION DONN, ROSE LESLIE, SYDNEY MARTINEAU, LYDIA SCOTT, PAULA LESLIE, DOROTHY LOCKHART and ELIZABETH YOUNG ..... CREDITS: Book, Music and Lyrics by GEORGE M. COHAN; Orchestra conducted by CHARLE J. GEBEST; Sets designed by T. B. McDONALD and UNITT & WICKES; Directed by GEORGE M. COHAN; Produced by COHAN and HARRIS ..... DETAILS: The forty page playbill measures 5 3/8" X 7 7/8" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, a full page photo of the two stars, promotional text and wonderful vintage advertising,  but no cast bios ..... CONDITION: With the exception of three small tears in the outside edge of the front cover, tearing to the back cover and minor edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
