Magnificent example of Royal Vienna Porcelain work. This large 20.5" L, double-handled centerpiece/tray features a large "Hector, Paris and Helen" painting in the center, heavy raised gilt accents, a combination of burgundy, light and Celestial blue colors, heavy gilded handles. This piece is very heavy 5.5 pounds appx. It is marked on the underside with the Beehive mark attributed to Royal Vienna factory. The piece appears to be the original Vienna mark. The mark is a shield, viewed ...upside down. The beehive mark was an adaptation of the center of the Hapsburg family coat-of-arms. It was first used in 1744 by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory of Vienna. The firm made porcelains, called Royal Vienna by collectors, until it closed in 1864. The tray is in beautiful condition. The main body has no damage. I inspected it and there are no chips, cracks or other damage. Very light wear to gilt in a few spots and the handles, but overall its absoulutely stunning piece. One of the handles has been repaired but holds up sturdy (please see the last two photos). The other handle - no damage. The bottom of the tray has scratched spot in the Beehive mark area. Please refer to the pictures. Will happily provide additional information and pictures upon request
