There are lots and lots of pieces of Weller clay creations that have been released and now they can be found all over the world. It would be easy to find merit in all of them, because of the history the pottery has lived and the wonderful legacy it has earned with pottery collectors. Of course, there are numerous older pieces that deserve more of a Fanfare than the 1930's and beyond, but there are even quite a few of the later pieces that are still beautiful in their own right and wort...hy of gathering up also. But sometimes you find pieces that defy the odds of ever being found, by their age and their beauty and condition and more. We feel this vase we are presenting to you here fits into the Early Older pre-1930's Realm of Weller Pottery. This is a very heavy in weight and in the scope of its decoration, such a wonderfully done late 1920's vase and it is very clearly signed by the accomplished artist and we believe it could a piece of Mae Timberlake's work. Anyway, it beautiful and there is not one chip or crack in the vase at all to report to you. We have added numerous photographs for you to view and please pardon some flash glare on a couple of them. We feel we did a good job on the photographs, but the higher relief in the waves and such were a bit more difficult to capture. The vase Measures: 8&3/8" Tall to 8&1/2" Tall by 3&1/8" Wide (bottom) 3&1/4" Wide (top). We think it is really nice how the Vase Measurements differ ever so slightly from different spots and yet the whole piece is still so very symmetrical visually.
