This one is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites, Very Nice Chris Heilman art glass vessel or vase featuring a three dimensional floral landscape encase in blue tinted crystal. On the front, a large wisteria tree in full bloom shades a flowering garden of foliage. Draping from the tree, large purple flowers accompany green leaves with brown branches woven through the design. Bright yellow flowers with dark centers and smaller red and white blooms cover the ground while drawing attention to the smooth elliptical shape in the center. While the egg-shaped feature compliments the design, it is actually the inside of the vase and acts as mirror for the floral aspects. This creates an optical illusion that the landscape continues on the bottom of the oval and adds depth and color to the blue tinted glass. The rim is thick and smooth and the base has been very nicely finished. The artist has signed the piece at the back near the base.
Chris Heilman's work is featured in multiple museums and galleries in the United States and internationally. He is best known for a glass blowing technique called lampworking, which involves creating hand pulled rods and canes. Heilman then creates three dimensional landscapes and encases them in crystal. Some of his best known works reflect his interest in scuba diving by creating authentic seascapes. From the artist, his works vary in size and range in price from $500 to $3000.
This measures 6 3/8" High x 2 3/4" Wide rim to rim x 4 1/2" Wide side to side. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this vessel.
