VINTAGE 1964 ORIGINAL ' A HARD DAY'S NIGHT ' WINDOW CARD MOVIE POSTER! ORIGINAL 1964 MOVIE 'IN-THEATRE' PROMOTIONAL POSTER FOR THE BEATLES CLASSIC GREAT, 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'!! REFERRED TO AS THE 'WINDOW CARD' SIZE, THIS ONE IS 14" X 22" AND IS ON THICK PAPER STOCK. (United Artists 64/261). VERY NICE VG TO VG+ CONDITION A COUPLE VERY LIGHT CREASES AT ONE CORNER BUT SMALL. TWO SINGLE PIN HOLES AT THE TOP TWO CORNERS. SOME AGING AND HANDLING. NO TEARS OR WRITING. THE BLANK ARE...A AT THE TOP WAS RESERVED FOR THE SPECIFIC THEATRE INFORMATION TO BE ADDED! THIS TOP AREA CAN BE RETAINED FOR COLLECTIBLE PURPOSES, YET STILL MATTED OUT WHEN FRAMED FOR DISPLAY IF ONE SO CHOOSES. REALLY BEAUTIFUL POSTER FOR THIS BEATLES ALL TIME CLASSIC MOVIE! First, the card is completely original as you see it in my images. Nothing has been cut off, trimmed or altered. It was made in 1964 as a 14" x 22" poster and remains 100% as such.Again, If you'll note the top 1/3rd of the poster is left blank by design. That was an area where the particular theater using the poster would be able to add their specific information such as runnings times of the movie, their theater name, etc.. In the listing text I mention that some fans/collectors, over time, have cut that top 1/3rd part off to balance the image more for framing. THAT TRIMMING HAS NEVER BEEN DONE TO THIS ONE. This one is completely 100% intact and has never been cut off nor should it ever be. It is as issued in 1964 and that definitely adds to it's collectability. If one so desired, the top blank area could easily be preserved by matting it over when framed to balance the image. But my opinion would be to frame as normal to show this artifact for what it is and how it was designed. (Will be packed firmly for shipment.)
