*Hi, I'm selling my British Castell Brothers Ltd 1940 card game of "The Wizard Of Oz". Each card illustrates a different MGM motion picture still in full tinted colour. This is a really beautiful piece of vintage original Wizard Of Oz merchandise and this set is a great example because it is in such wonderful condition. It doesn't look as though it was ever played with.*Manufactured in 1940 the box reads: "The Wizard Of Oz Card Game", "Full Of Adventure", "Briti...sh Manufacture", Mirth And Magic", Endless Amusement". *Measures 3 and a half x 2 and a half inches.*Box is in lovely shape which is quite rare. Box is intact and stands up on it's own. All tabs are there. Small amount of scuffing to corners. There is a crease to the box in the place where your hand goes to take the cards out and a half inch split to either side edge in this same place. Not sure if these splits had always been there or not, maybe so that you can take the cards out more easily. It just looks very tidy rather than a rip or a tear. There's a little bit of age related foxing inside the box but not a lot. *Instruction card of 4 printed sides is in perfect shape no tears or marks or spots.*All cards are in MINT condition front and back, NO bends or creases, or marks or tears or buckling. All cards are very bright and vivid and clear as if printed yesterday.*Game is complete with 44 cards. 4 of each number 1 -11. Everything is clean, no dirt. This item is ready for display.*My photos are all pictures of the item you will actually receive, they are not stock photos. *No odours, my home is non smoking and damp free. This game has been kept for years in archival, acid free conditions as are all the items from my vintage original Wizard of Oz collection.
