Offered in this sale is wonderful scarce figure featuring an Asian or Oriental man seated with a spice or sweetmeat bowl between his legs. It measures roughly 7 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" wide and weighs close to 2.5 pounds. . It is marked on the underside of the base with a blue crossed swords mark and is also impressed 132 and has an incised number 150x. This model was originally designed by J.J. Kaendler in the 18th century. The condition of this piece is very good. There is a chip to the edge of the sleeve on his right elbow which you can see illustrated in the 8th & 9th images. This could be easily restored. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. A nice big piece of Meissen in a desirable size and form.
