LOUISE BROOKS ORIGINAL STUDIO PHOTO"Rolled stockings" (Paramount, 1927); w/ James HallLOST FILMSINGLE WEIGHT; 8" x 10 1/4" (approx.)FINE / VERY FINE CONDITIONESTIMATED PRINT DATE: 1920s
Incredibly rare original Louise Brooks (with co-star James Hall) Paramount photo issued to publicize their 1927 LOST silent romantic drama "Rolled Stockings". We've been able to verify that the figures in the background are Brooks and Ha...ll from another photo we own of the same scene which show them both in front of the same house and in the same attire (see last scanned photo below). Stills from lost films are highly prized by collectors and film historians as they give a scarce glance into the original feature. This one is from flapper icon Brook's ninth film and near impossible to find. Don't let it get away! This photo is guaranteed VINTAGE AND ORIGINAL to the period it was taken. It is not a later re-strike or modern print. It is not computer generated.
We used this separate photo we own from the same scene to verify that the two figures in the background of the listed photo are Louise Brooks and James Hall. Note this photo is not part of this lot and is not currently for sale.
