Over 15 pages of research are also included in this grouping, detailing the horror he went through during the war. Jack Halliday was born July 9th 1896, and previously served 3 years with the P.W.O.R. He enlisted in Kingston on November 11th 1914, exactly 4 years to the day before the First World War ended (Remembrance Day)!
Jack Halliday was shell-shocked and buried September 16th 1916, sprained his ankle later that year and in May 18th 1918 was diagnosed with a gastric ulcer T.B., finally being discharged as medically unfit. Despite all this, he thankfully survived the War and came home to Canada.
These would be an interesting research project on a WW1 Canadian soldier who went through the horrors of war and came back alive.
