THE RED SHOES, Playbill, 12/93, Gershwin Theatre, NYC. The musical opened NYC on 12/16/93 and ran for only 5 performances though it started previews 11/02/93 and had 51 of them. The cast includes Steve Barton, Margaret Illmann, Hugh Panaro, George De La Pena, Leslie Browne, Tad Ingram, Jon Marshall Sharp, Robert Jensen, Charles Goff, Pamela Burrell, Jamie Chandler-Torns and Scott Fowler. Music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Ma...rsha Norman & Paul Stryker and book by Marsha Norman (Adapted from the film The Red Shoes by: Powell-Pressburger). Directed by Stanley Donen and choreographed by Lar Lubovitch. Though the Playbill lists the cast as being headed by Steve Barton, there is still a full color ad inside that lists Roger Rees as the star.
