Pickard Hand Painted Purple Grapes & Gold Encrusted 14 Inch Tankard C. 1905-1910
Nice large porcelain tankard. Decorated with hand painted purple grapes and green and yellow leaves over a green, yellow, orange and brown background. With gold encrusted leaves along the top. Gold gilding to the handle and around the base. Marked on the bottom Limoges WG&Co France in green. This is an underglaze whiteware manufacturer's mark used by William Guerin in Limoges France. Also marked... Hand Painted W Pickard A China. Circa 1905 to 1910.
Has some minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 7 5/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 14 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
