Here is an exquisite 1950's Venetian redish pink glass bowl. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by famous manufacturers Venini, designed by Carlo Scarpa, and bears their four line acid stamp manufacturing mark to the base, which reads: "Venini, Murano, made in, Italy »
Conditionit is in pristine condition. No cracks or chips.

It is ...believed that glassmaking in Murano originated in 8th century Rome, with significant Asian and Muslim influences, as Venice was a major trading port. Murano’s reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction of the city’s mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291.
