Item under consideration is a Vintage, 5 inch long x 4 inch tall, hand-crafted crystal Standing American Bison / Buffalo Sculpture produced at the Lalique workshops in the Al Sace region of France.
This exquisite hand-crafted crystal sculpture is an amazing combination of satin (frosted) and clear 24% leaded crystal. Basically, the sculpture consist of two parts the 5 inch long frosted crystal body of the Buffalo mounted on a 1 1/2 inch x 3 9/16 x 1 inch clear crystal base. The... base is engraved in hand script containing the words “Lalique, France”.Small felt pads are added to base to protect from scratches.Piece is perfect and carries original Crystal Lalique Paris foil label on the bottom.
The sculpture design is attributed to Rene Lalique, founder, in the 1930s.
