For your bidding pleasure we are offering a gorgeous 11" R & S Germany cake plate. Brilliant, multicolored floral in the center with stunning gold embossed orchids along the rim. Hallmarked in red as shown in my photos. No chips, cracks or age crazing. No color fade or chips or missing paint. It does have small pockmarks under the glaze as is the case in truly early handmade and hand painted porcelain and china. This is one of the most beautiful ...cake plates I have come across in many years of collecting elegant glass and porcelain. Purchased at an estate sale here in western Massachusetts it has obviously been treated with care for many, many years with some of these very ornate R.S. Germany and R.S.
