Featured in this auction is a beautiful, miniature vintage Rookwood Pottery cabinet vase. The piece has a classic arts-and-crafts motif of lilies encircling the vase. This piece is stunningly hand-decorated by an artist with the initials "IL" with a lovely design of purple lilies and forest-green leaves. The base color is ivory or cream. This vase is in excellent, near-perfect condition with no chips, no cracks, heavy overall crazing from the... vellum finish, and no repairs. This vase is approximately 3-1/2" tall, 4-1/2" wide at the shoulder, and 2-1/2" wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 6431 and the production year XLV (1945). This gorgeous underglaze is an ivory or cream color with magnificent hand-painted lilies finished with a clear vellum glaze. The vase may have been gently used; however, it is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 9 photos! This sweet little cabinet piece would be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector. Check out my other pottery listings!
