THERE ARE 12 PHOTOS IN THIS LISTING. USE THE SCROLL BAR BESIDE THE THUMBNAILS TO SEE THEM ALL.
Lovely first pressing with vinyl which looks and sounds incredible, and which is complete with all the original 1st press inserts.
In normal light the vinyl looks flawless and even under bright, dir...ect light I could see just a few very fine hairlines and sleeve-removal marks, but there is nothing significant anywhere. I can't recall seeing another one that looked better than this.
I've played the whole album and it sounds amazing: easily one of the best I've ever heard. Virtually the whole record play-grades around Near Mint (NM), and I think that most people would probably grade this as Near Mint, but there were two very minor issues (a handful of tiny clicks near the start of 'On the Run' and three or four in the intro to 'Us and Them') that just drop the overall grading a fraction below this. Most of the album plays flawlessly, but to cover these two tiny issues (which are really very, very minor, and would probably go unnoticed by most people) I would play-grade the album overall as Excellent plus (Ex+). This is a strict/conservative play-grading, based on the fact that almost the whole album plays Near Mint, with just these two tiny exceptions. A visual grading for the vinyl would also be around Excellent plus (Ex+) to Near Mint (NM). This is an outstanding example with vinyl which looks and sounds amazing.
The original black inner sleeve has no seam splits, just some creasing and normal signs of use.
The original black/blue tint ('midnight blue') cover with sealed left edge looks great and is one of the best-preserved examples I've seen. It has some mild edge-wear and corner-wear etc, but no major issues (please look at the photos).
The original posters have never been hung, so there are no pin holes, sellotape etc, and they both look great. Note that these posters are made from matt paper so guaranteed to be original. The band poster is printed on thick, matt paper and is fully matt on both sides, whereas the pyramid poster is printed on thinner matt paper, and has a sheen to the front. (These days, most copies tend to have posters substituted from later pressings. Later posters have much whiter paper which has a sheen on the front and back).
The original FasPrint Crack-Back Permanent stickers are unused but both have creases from getting trapped inside the fold of the gatefold cover. There are only two types of backing found on original 1st press stickers: either just the word PERMANENT printed in red or, as here, Fasprint Crack-Back Permanent. (Fasprint Crack-Back Removable stickers are from later copies, as are Fasson stickers, or any other type of backing.)
This is an outstanding example, complete and original throughout and with vinyl which would be hard to improve on.

Information about descriptions and gradings.
My items are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best topoint out any blemishes which might detract from the item and allphotographs are of the actual item you will get. I am aware that different grading systems have different definitions and so I try as much as possible to describe items in plain English, rather than simply using gradings. Where gradings are given these are based on the UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM. This grading system differs from some other grading systems, in particular the Goldmine grading system. Please make sure that you are familiar with the UK record collector grading system before you bid.Visually-graded vinyl vs play-gradedvinyl: Many peoplecollect vinyl and never play it, whereas other people collect records becausethey want to play them. A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such asscratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Mostvintage records are likely to have some background noise even if they lookperfect. I believe that records are for playing and so I try to play-graderecords whenever possible. I always state in the listing if I have played arecord prior to listing it. If I have play-graded the record I will usuallyonly give a brief description of how the record looks (i.e. not a visualgrading). The grading in the listing will be a play-grading and may beslightly different from the grading that the record would receive from a purelyvisual inspection. Most vintage records are not 100% perfectly flat and so Iwill only mention this aspect if it is very significant or has an impact on theway the record sounds. If I haven't play-graded the record, it will be given avisual grading.Play-grading MONO records: Mono records and stereo records have different grooves. Astereo record produces a stereo sound via both lateral and vertical groove modulation whereasa mono record is not intended to produce any sound from vertical modulation. Playing a mono record with a stereo cartridge will create distortion because it is trying to pick-up the vertical (stereo) part of thesignal, whereas this is not intended to be heard on amono record and so is just noise.  Using a pre-amp with a monoswitch will eliminate the noise caused by vertical modulation leaving just thelateral groove signal which is how the record was intended to be heard. Based on the assumption that most people choosing to listen to a mono record will have the right equipment to listen to it, I play all mono records via a pre-amp with a monoswitch.  My play-grading is based on how the record sounds when played through a mono switch. If you do not have a mono switchon your amp or pre-amp you will be reproducing the noisefrom the vertical part of the signal and so the record will not sound as good. This is not any fault of the record, it is inherent to playing any mono record through asystem that it was not designed for. ******************************************I have some very simple terms and conditions. Please read them and ensure that you understand them beforebidding. ******************************************
P&P chargesMy P&P charges are 'totally transparent'. Please read below and if you have any questions about P&P costs please contact me BEFORE you bid. Thank you.Sending items costs more than just the stamps on the package, but I try not to charge more for packing and posting your item than it actuallycosts me to do so. I need to cover the cost of packing materials, plastic sleeves, new inner sleeves (where applicable), transportation, fees and charges associated with sending the item (including fees incurred to receive the cost of postage and, where applicable, currency exchange) etc. To cover some of these expenses I add a nominal figure to the basic cost charged at the post office athough the actual cost to me is always higher than this. I do not view P&P costs as a means of making money. To quote an exact cost for every LP is difficult because of thewide variance in weight (e.g. Abbey Road weighs around 230 grams whereas LedZeppelin III weighs around 390 grams). But the majority of single LPs, whenpacked, will weigh around 550 grams and I have based my P&P rates onthis.Double LPs will be charged as two LPs, triple LPs will be charged asthree LPs. Box sets etc will be charged according to weight. If, when you receive your item, there is a significant discrepancy in your favour, please contact me and I willrefund the difference.UK P&P costsI offer three UK services. I DO NOT offer 'click and collect', 'collection in person' or FREE postage, so please do not select these options if they appear in the invoice.
