This programme is for the week long series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London which was know as the Pop Proms - the 'first London Gala Pop Festival'. The festival ran from June 29th until July 6th and featured over 20 bands including The Who, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Chuck Berry and Family. The Who played two shows on July 5th with Chuck Berry and Bodast ...and it was a riot, literally really, with opposing groups of fans fighting.
It is a lovely programme, measuring 30 x 22 cm and has 38 pages with the cover. There are pages of biographies and some great adverts, including a Track Records advert for Tommy and a Disc and Music Echo one showing Keith Moon.
There is a problem with the Led Zeppelin and Who pages however. Theses pages are at the start and end on the programme and are torn at the top where the pages were obviously uncut and someone has roughly pulled them apart. Please look at the image of the title page and Who page to see this damage and only bid in the knowledge of this. I have reflected this in the price and priced it accordingly and other than a slight crease at the bottom of the front cover the remainder of the programme is excellent. It's a damaged piece looking for a good home with a Who or Zep fan. PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE CONDITION. I AM HAPPY TO PROVIDE MORE IMAGES ON REQUEST.
Postage is free to the UK. I will post worldwide by Royal Mail International Tracked service.
