Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. This is an absolutely exquisite antique french 1/4 striking 2 bell ting tang strike pillar mantel clock that has its original gilt ormolu finish and displays beautifully under its original glass dome, this is a very rare clock which is in full working order and will take pride of place in any ones home The case features a fantastic pillar design with engraved decorations to the main pillar, which the clock having a skeleton design to it you can see the movement and pendulum on display. The pillar has a white marble base which sits on a green velvet platform all protected by the glass dome that sits beautifully over the top
The case has this absolutely stunning original gilded finish to the bronze case which is just fantastic and looks 100 times more impressive in the flesh The clock sits under its original glass dome which is in excellent condition with no chips splits or damage of any kind, the clock sits very elegantly under the dome and gives the clock a absolutely exquisite display look THE DIAL The clock features a white enamel porcelain dial with black roman numerals and original spade hands. The dial is very clean and in excellent condition for age with no damage THE MOVEMENT The movement is also of high quality, a very rare 8 day French 1/4 striking on 2 bells movement with an anchor escapement. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking the ting tang chime every 1/4 hour as it should on the 2 bells as can be seen in the video above. The clock comes with its original engraved pendulum and a new winding key The strike is the same as a ting tang bracket clock where it strikes the 2 bells once on the 1/4 past, twice on the 1/2 past and 3 times on the 1/4 too then on the hour it will only strike one of the bells the amount of hours
The movement is very clean and comes with a 6 months return to base warranty, please see full terms and conditions

All our clocks are tested for a minimum of 1 week before listing onto ebay and working condition is clearly stated above
No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
