Trade Winds Red (W128)BySpode The ship and detailing are brick red. A rich gold rim highlight and “Lowestoft” shape make Trade Winds appropriate for either formal or every day use. Each piece type depicts a different ship. Beautiful! And, as usual, Spode made Trade Winds functional as well as beautiful. It’s no wonder you’ll find the Trade Winds pattern (W128) listed among Harry Rinker’s 500 most popular patterns of the 20th Century. T...rade Winds red is now discontinued, manufactured only between 1962 and 1993, so is becoming increasingly harder to find. If you’re discerning enough to have chosen Spode’s red Trade Winds as your pattern, you already know what a great buy this is. Auction is for one 9" diameter bowl, very nice for serving side dishes, desserts, salads at the table or buffet. There is red rope detailing around the center and the edge plus a gold outline and gold trim both are inside and out on the edges. Beautiful ship in the center bottom inside, name of ship on the reverse. The condition is excellent, note details above. Red rope trim and gold are intact, I can see possibly one or two fine utensil marks, but they could just be how it was made. Spode mark on the reverse. This lovely item could be yours so bid now! What a bargain! You might want to check out my other auction listings for some really great buys and more Spode Trade Winds pieces! I will discount further for multiple purchases that can be shipped together. From a non-smoking home.
