Very Rare and Hard to FindAuthentic Fire King Roseite Rose-ite4 7/8" Berry Dessert Fruit Bowl:Unused with Original LabelThis auction features a very rare piece of Fire King dinnerware that I have never actually seen in person.....only in books! A really rare find that will make a great addition to any Fire King collection...an item that very few collectors probably have.This is a very pretty true Rose-ite and NOT Pink Swirl bowl. It has true pink color throughout theglas...s and not just the sprayed pink paint over white glass seen with Fire King's PinkSwirl pieces. According to Gene Florence's Fire King and More book, true Roseite pieces are extremely difficult to find. I have only seen one other Rose-itepiece sell on Ebay in the last few months.....a platter for $1800!!
The bowl measures 4 7/8 inches across and is in perfect unused condition.The original foil label that verifies this is Rose-ite is still intact. Marked OvenFire King Ware on the bottom.
The bowl may have the usual ash, straw and factory marks typical ofFire King wares of this type and era. These are NOT damage but simplyan expected finding related to the inexpensive manufacturingprocess used to make these vintage wares. Please ask if you are notfamiliar with these common marks.
