Hello and Welcome-We reinburse any overage you pay in shipping. Large vintage desert diorama/shadow box. Made by the Landscape View Company in Tuscan, Arizona. Made for the tourist trade along route 66 during the 1940's and 1950's. Wonderful workmanship. This item is free-standing. Many of these have saguaro cactus frames. This has a rare barn wood frame. Also rare are the mountains in the background. They are in 3D and made of clay with real pyrite stones (Fool's Gold). Most of these ...dioramas have a painted background of mountains and sky. Real vegetation from the desert is used with delicately painted accents. The molded cactus are clay on wire. Measures: 22" wide x 13" tall. Inner measurements: 17.5" w. x 8.5" t. Depth is 4". Weight is 19 pounds. Issues: Small sidewalls have separated slightly. Frame has a piece of wood loss on the front, lower right side. The utmost care with be used when packaging this.
