Vintage Hand Carved Wooden Folk Art Country Cabin Kitchen Diorama Thorens Music Shadow Box. Overall good condition. Dusty. Has a small ceiling light bulb that works with battery when music is playing. (Untested). The Thorens music box has a broken main spring in the winding mechanism, so it currently does not play. I manually played it by releasing the catch and turning the large gear. The tune is some sort of waltz that I do not recognize. It would be easy to switch out the music box ...for a working one if you don't want to go to the trouble of replacing the main spring. Measures 10 3/8" wide, 6 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" deep. There appear to be a couple of small broken pieces that I can see, the right window pane is missing and the ax head is broken off in the log on the outside right of the cabin (ax handle missing). The string that you pull to start the music box is also missing but the knot is still in place on the music box itself so it could be replaced easily. It goes through the bottom and hangs down if on a wall. Can be hung on a wall or you can sit it on table or mantel.
