This is a beautiful apothecary jar or canister, approximately 9 1/2" tall with lid, up to 4 1/2" wide. Fine translucent porcelain.Classic apothecary jar shape with a domed lid and a round knob finial. Beautifully decorated on both sides with birds in branches. Insects on the lid. The design is very similar to that of Herend's "Rothschild Bird" pattern.Made by Raynaud in Limoges and accordingly marked. In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no repairs.
