Shipped with USPS  officer staff button Wisconsin was a scarcely populated state at the time of the Civil War.  1860's button Shield with a badger. Die Pattern inner shield is scalloped with pointed ears, Banner with motto is scrolled. manufactured after the civil war. non dug button. Button depicts seal of Wiscosnin 3 piece staff officer coat sized 25mm.  back Pettibone Bros Mfg. Co. collection... from my great grandfather.  has sat in a container for years and years
