Item History & Price
This is a vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classic 1930's horror film, DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, released in 1931 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Rouben Mamoulian. Based upon the famous novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, Dr. Jekyll faces horrible consequences whenhe lets his dark side run wild with a potion that transforms him into theanimalistic Mr. Hyde.
The image fe...atures a terrific exterior nighttime shot of the evil Mr. Hyde (Fredric March) wearing an opera cloak over a tuxedo as he stands in the lower branches of a tree and looks maniacal as he's getting ready to jump. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish most likely in the 1960's or possibly earlier, this vintage copy photograph is in fine+ condition with one or two creases of varying sizes on each corner. The image quality is very sharp with fine detail and great contrast.
