An absolutely stunning piece of Murano glass. This piece is likely to be the work of Archimedes Seguso who was one of Murano glass' innovative glass makers. He perfected the Bullicante technique by experimenting with possibly 6 layers of glass. As each piece came , "To the boil"...he would add another layer..it was the boiling, bubbling water effect he then named Bullicante or to boil.
Later he went on to add a touch of luxury by adding gold leaf.
This piece is in blue with gold ...leaf inclusions. Beautiful and in immaculate condition.
Measures approximately 9 x 9 x 7cms.
No makers mark, but the
style and technique suggests this piece is highly likely to be the work of Achimede Seguso.Date line 50's - 60's.
