This is a letter, written shortly after he left office, is to a woman who sent Hoover some photos. He thanks her for the friendship that motivated her and wishes her prosperity and contentment, signing his name "faithfully." It is an example of the kindness and grace for which Hoover was known in Washington. The letter is on personal stationary, 10" x 7 1/4", with three folds. There is a small stain on the bottom of the letter, perhaps from a paper clip. This is a per...sonal letter that will make an interesting addition to any Hoover collection.
