It's rare because it's autographed by series director Hideaki Anno, and it is also the original Japanese print run, not the Chinese/Taiwanese releases! Signed by the legendary Hideaki Anno himself, it is also numbered as 11 of an extremely small edition of 15! The book is in virtually new condition, showing nearly no wear. I have had it sealed away in a doujinshi bag and stored in a drawer for a good 15 years... in a smoke-free home, far away from sunlight.
