Jim Morrison Cobra Necklace™ The Most Authentic Jim Morrison Cobra Necklace in the world.
This is the exact original and authentic replica of the famous 1967 young lion (cobra necklace) bead necklace that Jim Morrison of The Doors wore during his photo shoots in September of 1967 with Gloria Stavers and Joel Brodsky in New York City, New York. I started researching and making these necklace's in the mid 90's for friends, local shops and craft exhibitions. In fact the fir...st one that I made was in 1994, long before there was a thing called ebay. I have 20 years of experience and research in making this necklace. My attention to detail is unparalleled and unmatched. It is my belief that I have enabled myself to recreate the finest, most authentic replica Jim Morrison bead necklace available anywhere in the world today, hands down. The sole purpose of creating this necklace is to pay homage to Mr. Morrison and his contributions to not only music but to his poetry and legacy as an artist. Each necklace is traditionally hand crafted for excellence and made with vintage (NOS) private stock Czech seed beads.
I personally select the absolute finest glass czech seed beads available from my own private vintage stock and use the strongest C-Lon Tex 400 nylon cord for bead making. I do not use fishing line, I believe it compromises the quality of the necklace as it ages. All photo's are to show the exact detail of this necklace. The pattern and colors I use are exactly the same as the original one's that Henry Diltz used to make Jim's. The beads used to make this necklace are the exact same size as the beads used for Jim Morrison's necklace. There is no deviation from the original. The result is a 100% accurate replica of Jim Morrison's famous bead necklace that is hand made by me and for you to enjoy. Materials: C-Lon Tex 400 Cord. Break strength 75 lbs. (this is the strongest bead cord available). This interwoven cord is the most important part of the necklace and I refuse to use anything less than C-Lon Tex 400. As of right now I am the only maker of the Jim Morrison bead necklace in the world using this high quality beading cord and have been doing so for years. I use this cord for all of my necklaces and I also suspect other seller's will soon follow my lead on this as well. Trust me the stronger the cord, the better and longer your necklace will last. Each necklace is a beautiful 27 to 30inches long. if you prefer a different length please let me know.
