HEREND (Rothschild Bird) ~ Porcelain 4.25" CREAm or MAYONNAISE LADLE (#2249) ~ HungaryDescription of item...Here we have a beautiful handpainted fine quality porcelain CREAM or MAYONNAISE LADLE (#2249) by HEREND of Hungary in the "Rothschild Bird" pattern displaying one bird, one butterfly, floral/branches with a gold accent on the rim bowl. It measures approx. 4 1/4" long x 1" bowl diameter. It is in excellent maintained (cabinet displayed/used) condition with no chips, cracks or craz...ing, no gold loss, no damage noted. The handle end underside is marked, "HEREND HVNGARY ~ (Shield & Paint Brushes symbol) ~ 1826 1976 ~ HANDPAINTED ~ 150 ~ 2249 / RO." Came from a well cared for private home collection of some years, however the exact age is unknown. This item weighs approx. 1/4 lb., add 3/4 lb. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. I currently have other interesting HEREND items on auction.
