18-19TH CENTURY CHINESE RED OXBLOOD SANG DE BOEUF LANGYAO FLAMBE PORCELAIN VASE
You are bidding on a fine antique Chinese red sang de boeuf, or oxblood, porcelain bottle vase that is 12-1/2" tall and about 6" in diameter at the shoulder. The vase has a spectacular red glaze called langyao hong, which is a thick, vitreous glaze developed during the Qing dynasty. It is hard to tell a precise age on this piece. The surface does not have any crazing.... The unglazed underside is also in excellent condition. There are a few tiny scrapes to the glaze that are visible under magnification. The interior has years-old soil and dirt. It has not been cleaned. The vase has no chips, cracks or repairs.
