1965 reproduction Concert poster for "The Beach Boys" with "Sam the Sham" and "Glen Campbell as openers for the show. Little did the "Beach Boys" know it at the time but the "Beach Boys" already a very popular band were about to become a very important band. Change was heading for the band straight on starting with Brian Wilson leaving half way through the tour to start writing songs for the bands next album "Pet Sounds" leaving "Glen Campbell" to fill in on bass and ...backing vocals (which he did beautifully) . When "Pet Sounds" was released the album took "The Beach Boys" in a totally new musical direction which put the band at a entirely different level in musical classification. No longer were the "Beach Boys" just singing about surfing USA "The Beach boys" were about music that touched the souls of millions of teenagers every where. Experimenting in complex vocal harmonies which the band (with Campbell in tow) pulled off amazingly well making " Brian Wilson's" songs (at times) seem almost unearthly they were just that good. After "Pet Sounds" "The Beach Boys" would never be the same band again.
