A 1940 ' S Bamby Is Good Bread General Store Screen Door Push Sign Double Sided
Item History & Price
A 1930's - 1940's Double Sided General Store Screen Door Push Sign advertising Bamby Bread. The front side reads Bamby Is Good Bread. The back side reads Thanks Call Again. This push door sign is in good condition. It retains a lot of it's original paint but there are areas with worn and missing paint (mostly along the top and bottom edges)(see the photos). There is minimal tarnish. I had to remove the original screws and nuts (rusted tight) that held the extensi...ons in place and replace them with newer ones. The extensions were really clean and almost free of tarnish. They were mostly dusty so I wiped them clean with WD-40. There is some black caked on gunk to the right of the word "Again" (on the reverse side) that you should be able to chip off. I didn't want to take the chance of scratching the paint.Measurements: the sign, not counting the end flanges, is 26 3/4" long, 29" long counting the flanges. The sign is 3" high. The maximum length of the sign with the extensions fully extended and counting the flanges is 41". Each extension has seven pre-drilled holes for multiple applications.
