AMERICANA at its finest!!....Offered is a very scarce original condition Colombo & Tagliabue storm tube barometer with thermometer mounted in a pierced carving walnut frame. This example is c1860 with a beautiful silver plated brass thermometer register with original tube in place and reading accurately signed with the makers names and an address of 61 Fulton St., NY. Original Storm tube barometer is working and original. These tubes actually work more on temperature than pressure changes an...d form crystals as conditions change. Body is of carved American walnut with its original finish 16 3/4" long X 3 1/2" wide. Vintage; Old; Americana
