Outstanding small oil on panel by sought after French Barbizon painter Felix François Georges Philibert Ziem. This painting depicts the Francis Jardin entrance and canal in Venice. Ziem painted several of these scenes, some of the larger works of this depiction have sold for upwards of $96k. A similar sunset scene of this nature (larger) brought in $27.5k at auction (see pics). This particular work... measures 5 3/4” x 9 9/16” and is in good condition-see UV black light pics. I believe the frame is an original period French frame as well. Excellent opportunity to purchase a work of fine art without paying a Buyers Premium (usually >20%).
