Good, plain straight sided Empoli jar. Translucent blue glass. Decorative more than practical? Not sure. Typical plastic seal. I find that if you push directly in the lid resists against air in the jar and won't go right in. If you twist it and push down, it will. Snug fit. I'd say it was box moulded; i.e. hand blown into a mould. No seams
