A petite proportioned antique Longcase clock in Oak & Mahogany, and in full working orderThe Case is in flowered Oak with Mahogany bandings, only 78 inches high
The long case door with its original brass escutcjeon (no lock) & brass strap hinges
Hood with a beautifully delicate painted front panel, above the glazed doorPeriod one Painted dial in good condition, with floral scenes to the cornersWorking seconds dial, ...& working 31 day calendar aperture
Makers signature below the centre "E. Maffey Newcastle", (research shows it to be Edward Massey of Newcastle under lyme)
Roman Numerals for the hours, and full set of brass handsComplete with its pendulum, weights and winding key8 day 4 pillar movement in original condition and good working order,
strikes on the number of hours on a bell (5 strikes at 5 o'clock etc)In working order and keeping good time
Dimensions in inches - 78 inches high
